Annie!

So Bella and I went to see Annie at Theatre Under the Stars the other day, it was an awesome time! Bella had a blast, I think she’s considering becoming an actor! It was made even more awesome for her when she got to meet Annie herself after the show! Michelle Creber is the star of the show and just happens to be the main vocalist for a lot of the children’s songs I have been writing over the last two years. Michelle did an amazing job as Annie, I highly recommend going to see the show!!!

Producer’s Conference

My co-worker Brian Chan and I went to the Reason Producer’s conference the other day, it was a really great time watching and talking with a bunch of local producers and meeting other people in the industry. The first presenter was Jeremy from Nucleus Soundlab talking about his crazy refills for Reason. Then we had Film Composer Shawn Pierce, producers Michael Nowak and Jeff Dawson, as well as prop guru Gerry Basserman. That was followed by producer extraordinaire Hank Shocklee with some great insight on the state of the music industry. Very inspiring! Here are some pics of the guys that were presenting.

Farewell Albion Ferry Video

I added a video to my Vimeo page, this is me having fun with my two HD cams three days before the ferries closed forever. Kind of a sad day, I remember taking those ferries at an early age, it always meant fun, either camping at Alouette, or swimming at Haney. In later years it meant extreme excitement at the possibilities of the future, as I had to take it dozens of times to go to Robin Webb’s house/ studio in the woods. Every time I got on it I was going to work on one of the movies, and recognized the opportunity Robin was giving me, letting a young inexperienced composer do the music for his films!!! I will definitely miss the ferries!

Remember I am NOT a professional videographer! Music is my thing, and the music here is a song called “Light of the Day” that Becca and I wrote a long time ago for my first movie “Seeking Fear”. Hope you like it!
