Unc has passed away

Today, Feb 3 2005, Uncle Larry has passed away. He was one of the greatest men in my life. From the time I was a little boy, I was enamoured with him. I swore that I would never become a teenager just for him (cus everyone know's teenagers are rotten...) and I'd go from 12 to 20. It seems like I did. One Christmas Eve Eve Unc and I went around and visited family and then ended at the gas station, we bought a scratch and win, I chose it, and he paid, planning to split it 50 50, we won $100 and it became a tradition. One time we ended up getting over 50 tickets off of one winner (we never ended up with any money though!!!).

I love Uncle Larry so much, but the last 2 years of his life were filled with pain and much suffering. At least that pain is over. The only pain now is dealing with his loss and the questions that always come to haunt me in these times: why can't we see more of this healing God we hear of. My faith is not broken, just shaken, again. But Larry had faith, and believed that all of the prayers that were said for him in his 2 years of hospital life did a lot of good. Thanks to all who prayed for him, it changed him and opened him.

I can't wait to see Unc again, and to see him free from pain. We love you Unc, we love you we love you we love you.
